Recently fishing in the river Loddon has produced lots of fish of many interesting species. Usually perch are the most prevalent fish but dace gudgeon and chub have also been regular.
On the 22nd August a few hours fishing gave me 2 beautiful perch both of reasonable size. As well as the excitement of catching fish, the atmosphere and the peacefulness is enough to make it worthwhile anyway.
The next day whilst using a spinner, I had a much bigger fish. A four pound chub was the highlight of the day.
